The Blues have completed a deal to buy Wallace from Fluminense, with the Brazil Under-20 international due to remain at current club Fluminense until the summer.
Roma though have not stopped working for Wallace and are now keen to do a deal with Chelsea, which would see the starlet join the Giallorossi on loan, with the Italian side having an option to make the
move permanent.
The ball is though firmly in Chelsea’s court, Wallace’s agent Mathias Frederico Moraes has insisted.
"It is true that I always speak with Walter [Sabatini] [Roma sporting director, ed.] and the player is definitely highly regarded", Moraes told Tutto Mercato.
Asked about a potential move to Roma, the agent replied: "That depends on the two clubs, they decide the deal that they would possibly move the player on for.
"I take care of the interests of the player and what I can say on that is that there is no agreement for a transfer to Roma."
It remains unlikely that Chelsea will opt to allow Wallace to leave so soon after completing a deal to bring the Brazilian talent to Stamford Bridge.
But Roma’s interest in the 18-year-old is still alive and well.
