The Giallorossi are in search of a new coach as Aurelio Andreazzoli is unlikely to be given the full time position.
Panucci has been mentioned as a possible candidate given his history at the club he played for from 2001 to 2009.
“They are a young team and they need someone who has a pulse on the situation,” he told Teleradiostereo.
“They need someone who will give
responsibility to the players, the players must be professionals.”
Panucci also commented on the Giallorossi’s disappointing 1-1 draw with Pescara over the weekend, stating that his former side must change their mentality if they want to improve their results.
“Roma gave away the first half and in the second they did everything to win. They had the wrong approach to the match but fifth place is still possible.”
