The Italian international has been a significant force in Roma’s weaponry up front this season, with Osvaldo scoring 12 goals and notching two assists in his 24 appearances for the club in all competitions - an attacking option Juventus coach Antonio Conte has been keen to bring to Turin.
There has been talk about a possible swap deal between
the Bianconeri’s Fabio Quagliarella and Roma’s Osvaldo, something Quagliarella’s agent, Giuseppe Bozzo rubbished. But now Conte is ready to up the ante with his offer to acquire Osvaldo’s services.
Juventus director general Giuseppe Marotta has now given the go-ahead for his club to chip in an additional €5M to the bargaining table together with the Quagliarella swap deal, an offer Roma manager Aurelio Andreazzoli may find harder to rebuff.
Roma have the €18M-rated Osvaldo tied down in the Italian capital until 2016, but whether he will see out his contract remains to be seen.
