Bayern & City To Move For Pjanic

Miralem Pjanic
According to Sport.ba, Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko has urged Roma’s Miralem Pjanic to join him in the Premier League.

The Giallorossi midfielder has been linked with a move away from the Stadio Olimpico this summer after failing to gain a regular place in the first team this season and his international teammate has advised him to join the Premier League champions.

“I advised Pjanic to choose Manchester City and Roberto Mancini also asked me about
him.” - Dzeko said.

“I would not be surprised if he comes, I hope he does and I would have another reason to stay at City.” - he concluded.

Reports from the Italian press also suggest that German giants Bayern Munich are pondering a move for Roma’s Miralem Pjanic.

Other teams around the continent, such as Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur, have also shown interested in the Bosnian play-maker.

The Bundesliga Champions-elect are looking to further strengthen their squad, prior to next season, when Pep Guardiola replaces outgoing coach Jupp Heynckes.

Despite a solid first season in Italy, the midfielder has struggled for playing time this season, due to injury and being tactically unsuited to, previous coach, Zdenek Zeman’s playing philosophy

Pjanic has played on 49 occasions for Roma, scoring six goals; including a long-range free-kick in the derby earlier in the season.
