Roma Set Sights On Watford Strker Matej Vydra

Matej Vydra playing for Watford.
According to some reports in Italy, Roma are willing to sign Watford’s Udinese owned Matej Vydra.

The Romanisti are believed to be on the lookout for a striker after Mattia Destro was ruled out for 2 months after knee surgery.

It seems that the "i Lupi" are aiming at the Czech international as a short term alternative for Destro.

The 20-year-old Matej has scored eighteen goals in twenty four fixtures for Watford in the Championship this season.

Vydra took part in 5 Czech youth national teams between under-16 as well as under-21 phases. During August 2012, he was called up to the Czech senior team for the 1st time, for a World Cup qualifying game away to Denmark and a friendly fixture versus Finland. He played the 1st 73 minutes versus Denmark, in a match that ended as a goalless draw.
