Roma And Lazio Set To Meet With Pope Francis

According to ANSA news agency, Roma and Lazio are scheduled to meet Pope Francis ahead of their Coppa Italia final at the end of the month.

The meeting will take place at the Vatican on May 22.

Pope Francis will meet with the captains, presidents and coaches of the club just days before the two teams are set to battle for the domestic trophy on May 26 at the Stadio Olimpico.

This won’t be the first time that Pope Francis has met with a figure from the footballing world, as Inter captain Javier Zanetti and his family met with him in April just days before the Argentine
suffered his Achilles injury.
