Allegri To Coach Roma Next Season ?

Massimiliano Allegri
According to the papers report today, Massimiliano Allegri has chosen to join Roma and has rejected an approach from Inter.

The future of Max Allegri has always been in question this season, already from the very start as Milan managed to pick-up just seven points from the first eight rounds and every day there are more rumours that this is his final Milan season.

It’s no secret that President Silvio Berlusconi is not one of Allegri’s fans as the former Italy Prime Minister expects to see Milan playing better football – champagne football – and it seems that Silvio wants to fire Max who has a deal
until 2014.

According to today’s edition of il Corriere della Sera, Allegri has made-up his mind regarding his future. The newspaper claims the former Cagliari boss has decided to accept Roma’s offer of at least a three-year deal. Allegri has always seemed to be at the top of the shortlist for next season of Roma, who have had 5 managers since Allegri joined Milan.

While Silvio is pushing Allegri towards the exit door, it’s believed that Vice President Adriano Galliani is actually in favour of keeping the Tuscan coach. Barbara Berlusconi hinted yesterday that if Allegri fails to make the top three this season he could pay the price and it seems that Allegri is already prepared for such situation, with a Roma offer agreed. Corriere della Sera is also reporting that Allegri has rejected an offer from Moratti, who wants him at Inter to replace Stramaccioni.

The future of Allegri will most likely be revealed in the next weeks after the season ends. Milan could decide to bring a former player to replace the coach with Rino Gattuso, Clarence Seedorf, Pippo Inzaghi and Mark Van Bommel mentioned.
