Speculation has been steadily increasing in Milan that Allegri’s tenure could be coming to an end, despite still being well in contention for a Champions’ League berth for the 2013-2014 season. Consequently, rumours have surfaced that, should he depart the Rossoneri, he could be on the radar of Roma.
However when speaking to Sky, Baldini appeared to pour cold water on such suggestions, “Allegri? There is no agreement. All assume that Roma coach will change, but Andreazzoli is doing
fine.”
Current manager Aurelio Andreazzoli has been in charge since replacing Zdenek Zeman on February 2, 2013 and has let the Giallorossi to fifth place in Serie A-seven points behind Milan.
The former Udinese assistant has a record of eight wins, three draws, and two defeats from his thirteen games in charge, with a win percentage of sixty two percent. Based upon that reading, Baldini’s summation of the current manager’s performance appears to be backed up by the statistics, but come the summer it will be interesting to see who will lead the Roman club into the 2013-2014 campaign in the hope of securing their first Scudetto since 2001.
