The Brazilian centre-half has emerged as one of the club's star performers this season, having joined from Corinthians last summer.
Barcelona and Manchester City are amongst those to have been linked in recent weeks, but Roma insist that Marquinhos is committed to them for the next four years.
"The boy has a four-year contract with us," Roma general manager Franco Baldini told Sky Sport Italia. "Therefore, there is no meeting set up with his
agents.
"There is no urgency in discussing new terms with the player. We could do, but only at a more advanced stage."
Marquinhos himself insisted over the weekend just how happy he was with life in the Eternal City.
"I am living a wonderful time here," he said.
He insists that Corinthians should not be criticised for selling him for what now appears to be a bargain fee of just €3milllion.
"It is easy to say that Corinthians made an error, but at the time it was good for all parties," he said.
